I have a nice B6, probably 1936. It has a tone control, but that must be a unoriginal pot, right? Should be a volume control?

It's very easy to re-wire a volume pot into a tone pot with the addition of a capacitor.

Rick Aiello has a nice figure (he does?) to describe the wiring over the years (now I see what you mean):

I thought that the '36 was the year they added a tone control on the player's side (?) Maybe just in that time era...
I set my amp to run the guitar volume all the way up, which seems to me to have a more solid response (?)...Probably my bad hearing is what it's about ! Very Happy

Anyone know what capacitor is best to get that extreme swing like some kind of mini Wha Wha?
I have a couple of steels I'd like to have that on.
Think I'll also post this on the electronics thread page.
Thanks if you know?
Andy
