WoW! Life is good! I just took possesion of a NEW GFI I bought on eBay. Sweeeeeeeet!!
Thanks to everyone for answering my questions about these guitars, tipping the scales in favor of buying it. A red S-10D with ZERO playing time since new in 2004. I've ALREADY gotten better!! Anyhoo ... if anyone has any question or concerns about GFI's .. trust me, they're GREAT guitars!!

Congratulations Bob!
Is it a keyless model?
Fine guitars either way.

Thx, Webb and I can sure see what you mean about the improvement! This this is sooooo smooth!!
Thx, Jim, I can sure see why you love it!
Thx, Roy, no it's not keyless, dang it! I visited with Gene at his 'factory' to look at a keyless model and loved the concept, but most things in life boil down to time and money. Gene said it would be another couple of months before he'd be able to get to my order ... there's the time ... I found this NEW on eBay for $1750 vs. $2800 new from a dealer (perhaps slightly less if we haggle)... there's the money!
The ONLY kick I have is when playing down near the roller nut .. like the 1st fret. The #10 string tuning KEY gets in the way. I don't remember that being a problem on my other guitars. Oh well.. shift a little muscle memory around and it'll be fine, I'm sure!
Thanks again to everyone for thier input on the GFI .. .it's one sweet instrument!!

Congratulations, Bob! My experience on a GFI is all of 15 minutes, so I'm no expert. Still, it seemed like anice guitar. I do know that Buddy Charleton has a couple of them, though, and that's a mighty fine recommendation.
That cherrywood/gold one on Bobbe Seymour's site is one of the prettiest guitars I've ever seen. Can't believe no one's snapped that one up! |

Right, Donny ... Buddy's playing one speaks volumes! And Bobbe has nothing but nice things to say about them on his site. I can now see why everyone is 'singing the praises' of the GFI!!
Thanks, Jim! I really appreciate it!
