Rick,
This isn't to get your hopes up. I just wanted to let you know that my quad is in the process of being reassembled. I got it all refinished and started installing the tuner pans last night. Will give you a look see after I get a little farther along. Good luck in your search!!

Thanks Erv, I'll look forward to seeing it.
I'm not real optimistic - I just thought try it and see what happens, if anything.
Ya just never know . . |

Thank you JW. Well please let me know when you do want to let it go. I promise to give it a good home - I would cherish it and play the crap out of it. And I wouldn't use it as a coffee table!
Jerry Wallace makes replacement pickups and so does Jason Lollar. From what I hear they are the best bet. Other than that, keep your eye peeled on eBay - they do come up every so often.
My old hound dog killed a possum one time. I was thinking about cookin' it up for supper but it stunk so bad I was afraid I'd get possum breath and the gals wouldn't want to kiss me any more . .
I sure hope you're feelin' better now.

Jennings,
Jerry Wallace has 3 pickups from my quad now. They were dead on arrival. He's also redoing a couple of pickups from a later model Stringmaster to fit an earlier model. I had no idea they were differenct size until I started to compare them. The pickups with the chrome covers were wound lighter and smaller than for the guitars with the blend control.

Jennings & Erv, you 2 fellers are lucky ducks! You could start a band and call it "The Quadwranglers" or "The Quad Squad" . .
There must be a Quad with my name on it somewhere! |

Fellers,
Would anybody give me a ballpark figure as to what quad 8 and quad 10 stringmasters in average condition go for?

At least not in this dimension . .
Quads are going for approximately $2400 to $4000 these days. |

Thanks guys. I could have sworn I heard of a ten. Usually the voices I hear are truthful: I'm god, I'm Hugh Hefner, I'm Willie Mays, etc |
