Best acceptable offer on this Fender 400 I took as a part trade?
Came here out of tune and hard to tell what that had been.
I think it's D9th without the top 2 strings. If I were to keep it, I'd add those and dump the bottom two.
Just purchased a real nice 1960 Wright 10 string with 6 pedals and really don't need two cable pull steels.
None of the pedals seemed to be set right or do anything I would understand or want???
I'm asking $750.00 and you pay and arrange shipping from Springfield, Oregon because my back is too bad to be hauling it to UPS. It weighs 57 pounds when packed in a box. Has a case that is in nice condition & functional, but could use one new latch.
General condition is good for a guitar that has been used, and not under the bed for 50 years.
First views from photos he had sent to me;
All Chrome is very good without any corrosion;
Underside views, Changer and cables look clean and good. I have not made needed adjustments because i didn't change the strings to a tuning I'd use;
Some Damage to the finish. This starts with the usual checking in the lacquer that is common in older instruments and not a concern to most people.
More there are some small dings where it has been bumped during moving is my guess. See the close photos of them;
Small ding in player side;
Lacquer checking;
Ding in the front;
Player side, 2 corners have damage to finish;
And last are photos showing dings in the finish of the pedal bar;
That's all folks, the good the bad and the ugly  
I should add that he told me there was an issue with the pickup being very loud on the bass side and then very quiet on the treble side. When it arrived I found the pickup was screwed all the way down about 3/8" below on the high side and almost touching the bass strings. 5 or 6 turns with a screw driver and it's now got very well balanced tone and volume as well as sounding very very nice. I guess some people are just not able to sort out that kind of thing?  
Whoever buys it will need to set up the pedal cables to activate the raises and lowers they prefer. That is quite easy by just moving the cables from each pedal to the fingers you need to pull a change and then adjusting the tension on the cables. It's very self evident to the guy with average skills. No tools need and quick to make changes.
Buy this and you too could be the next great Sneaky Pete!
