Have a 10-1 to install for a friend. Where do I place the Red, Black, and Bare Wire on the Instrument Plug?

Thanks

It's been a long time and I've forgotten, but I found this post in a search, which I believe translates red, hot to plug tip....blk+bare to sleeve. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=267922&sid=84d210c0b91866b693d627e793d64a65

Correct. RED is hot.
Black & Bare connect together for ground.

Recommended to be mounted very close to strings.
