Somewhere deep in the cobwebs I vaguely remember that some company made some guitars covered with a faded jean material? Was it MSA?or was I just hallucinating?

Herby Wallace had a denim covered, Emmons D-10 in the early to mid '70's. The denim material appeared to be new Levi material. He was touring with Nat Stucky at the time.

A local player, who's name I've forgotten, played a D10 Emmons around this area in the early 80's that was denim w/a Levi's® logo. This was around the same time of the CJ Jeep®/Levi's® edition.

We played the same "battle of the bands" competition at one of the local watering holes. He with the Levi's® D10 and me with the basketweave D10 Emmons. We commented at how unusual both of these guitar treatments were and to be in the same place at the same time...really rare these days.

I don't know whatever happened to him or the guitar.

Clem Schmitz had a few of the basketweave and Levis Emmonses pass through his Minneapolis store. Russ Pahl played a basketweave D-10 in those days.

What would be cool would be a steel guitar 'cover' made out of blue jean material, could choose faded, dark or even ripped, would probably need a thicker softer lining as to not scratch the guitar finish. Could also make a matching amp cover.
