Had this around for years - No markings 1/4" plug - stand
about 3 " long
What the heck is it?

It's a Japanese tape recorder mic from the 60's. AIWA DM-14 dynamic. Makes a good harmonica mic because it's easy to cup.

yes, most likely a tape recorder mic. i have a couple fairly similar to this and i do use them for harp as they are easy to hold and sound great. it may even have a crystal element inside.
