In my quest to track down CDs by Maurice "Reece" Anderson I become aware that Reece used a 12 string lap steel on his album "Steel Playin' Texas Swing" and at many other times.
Does anyone have a clear photo of the 12 string lap steel that Reece used? Who is the maker of his 12 string lap steel?
Here"s a link showing him playing Tiny Bubbles on a double neck lap steel.

Here he plays a single neck lap steel 12:

Any idea if these lap steels were custom made for him by MSA?
Thanks! _________________ Tony

Duh!!! How I missed that I don't know. My Google skills are lacking.
Thanks so much! They look like the ones Reece was playing. Very nicely made. _________________ Tony

Yes, he played MSA Superslide, tuned:
1. D
2. B
3. G
4. E
5. C
6. A
7. G
8. E
9. C
10. A
11. F
12. D
I use the same non pedal guitar, same tuning but in Bb6 rather than C6 _________________ Christopher Woitach

I believe he used a Boen steel on that album--was done prior to the MSA guitars being built if my memory serves me right. |
