What type of slide is Billy Robinson using in this video? It is white, plastic maybe?

Also, he's playing a non-pedal 10 string. Who made it and what tunings are used?

I'm thinking that's a 1" Zirconia bar.

Yikes! Zirconium seems to be pricy. Thanks.

After a couple of hours googling, I found out that Billy Robinson plays a special Derby lap steel. I could not find the scale; string spacing is 3/8".

Thanks, I had seen that. Interesting bits of info but he doesn't mention the scale.

Amazing what he can do!

24 1/4" scale on the Derby neck.

The white bar is zirc oxide

I use a Paloma ceramic bar on my Stringmaster. Maybe not quite as much sustain as steel, but excellent tone, much lighter and easier to maneuver for slants. And they cost about 25 bucks.
