Is there an easy way to make the half stop on my Carter's 2nd string tighter? I mean, I wan't it to be harder to "get past".
Also, what are a few good licks to use on the 2nd string with the full tone lower? What do you do with that change? I've normally stopped at D for a 7th chord. Haven't found a use for the C# yet. Of course, I haven't really looked for one either.
Lastly, how many of you raise the 1st and 2nd strings on the same lever? I only have the F# to G# on both of my F# strings. I was considering adding a G# lower to F# on the 6th string on the same lever. I had that on my 12-Sierra and liked it a lot. Seems a little redundant with the 7th string change though.

i've only been playing for 2 1/2 years,,the only licks i know on the 2nd string lower whole tone is,,,from the f lever position ie.6th fret with f lever and a pedal is g,,grab 5 with the a pedal and lower 2 a whole tone, unison let off pedal and lever at the same time, then slide up 2 frets to the 8th fret 456 for a c or 4 cord,,also works going from a d/5cord back to the 1 or g cord,,,maybe some of pros could give me and you some new licks with this change,,,hope this helps,,, |
