I have two ProFex II, two TubeFex and a Transfex 212S.
Is there any chance to get the Batteryless-Mod for these units here in Europe/Germany?
Are the non-volatile chips the same in all models (Tubefex, Transtubefex, Profex II and Transfex)???

At Ken Fox' website i see that he won't ship outside US.
Hope anybody can help me.

Regards....

Ed

I had so many get lost in overseas shipments and I had to take the loss every time.

I recently returned 20 defective pieces to a supplier overseas. They were lost in shipment and I had to take that loss as well. That is another reason why I no longer ship overseas.

Having more trouble finding a good American supplier. Did get the last batch from Jameco but still had a high failure rate. I had to switch to a different brand of chip. When it works it is perfect, when it does not it is a real flop! Fortunately they will cover any bad ones. I now pretest every chips when it comes in and again before it goes out to the customer. So far it is going well.

Ken, thank you for your reply.
Sorry to hear that you had so much trouble with overseas shipping and i understand why you will not do this anymore.

One question Ken:
Has the Profex II the same Batteryless-mod chip as the Tubefex, Transtubefex and Transfex or is this a different chip?

Best regards

Ed

Ed, you could use one of the many reshipping services available (at a cost, of course - dunno how much for a small item). reship.com, myus.com, borderlinx.com - plenty of those around.
