I think so, Henry :O
My son told me to heat up a straight pin and burn through the nail. I'm not left handed, and frankly, I'm reluctant do try either method. I guess the idea is to relieve the pressure. _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

It doesn't hurt if you just let the hot needle burn through the nail only, you'll know it's through when blood squirt out stop the needle,Price of cake.Had to do it a few times myself. _________________ Steeling is still legal in Arizona |

Yeah, it just feels like a hot needle burning through your fingernail. |

Your nail itself ain't got no nerves, that's why it don't hurt when you clip em.🤓 _________________ Steeling is still legal in Arizona |

As a carpenter, I have hit the wrong nail several times in my life and the burning-needle-thru-fingernail operation has hurt like hell every time, especially while the fingertip is still throbbing from the initial blast. The nerve endings are right under that thin layer of dead tortoise shell. |

That's why I bought a drum set.
