Hi there,
I am new to the forum and hoping y'all can point me in the direction of good pedal steel teachers in northern/central New Jersey.
I've been playing 6-string guitar practically my whole life and have dabbled a bit with lap steel and banjo the past few years but am really interested in learning pedal steel. I've not bought one yet and am kinda hoping to take a lesson or two on a teacher's instrument before making the financial commitment to buy a decent quality pedal steel.
Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks and Happy New Year! |

it's a long haul, but John Widgren in Connecticut is the best tech around and a great teacher as well. |
