One week to go from today!!!!!Come on you blokes let me know who`s coming to Buckden for our meeting??????????? Its a much better venue They serve food at the club as well as beer!!
Shaky is setting up a stall of steel related junk that he wants to dispose of and he is bringing a guy that makes Resonator guitars
(Don`t ask! I don`t know what it means either.!)
This is going to be the best "Shop Window" in East Anglia to buy or sell that steel guitar!!!!!

Ron its a shame you cannot come and bring one of your steels, I had a phone call from a guy yesterday who is coming to this meeting just to buy a steel!!! We have more potential customers than we have sellers at our meetings!!!.

Thank you all for coming to my meeting, it was a good one this time I thought?
I have a different idea for set up next time, I am going to make sure there are enough power extensions available so that we can all set up in the shape of a horse shoe around the singer/band, this to improve communication and further stop some of the clusterf%*)K that we get when too many play at the same time! What do you`all reckon?
Also for the newbies and less proficient among you that accepted the challenge and took the tuition CD that Mark prepared for us…….you have the tracks!! Now get in the woodshed and practice!! Don`t worry if you cannot play it like Mark,(I can`t either) but everyone brings something different to the instrument and we all want to hear your version of the tunes.
The thing that pleases me the most is our meetings are not competitive or intimidating, but helpful and informative and we all go away having learned something!, I also thought Robbo and the band were excellent and worth far more than the few pieces of gold you guys put in the hat!!!
May Meeting date T.B.A. (watch this space) JD.
