The FedEx man just showed up with my new 2005 Emmons push/pull D-10 guitar. It has a 30 year old cabinet and new machinery. It has a sunburst red and black lacquered body with inlay, metal necks and cut tail changers. Ron did nothing to the cabinet so it does look like a 30 year old guitar but everything else is sparkling new. I'll post some pictures at a later date. I have another new p/p coming from Emmons and that one will be a natural colored lacquer guitar.

ERV; THAT MUST HAVE BEEN THE ONE I SEEN WHILE I WAS AT THE FACTORY. CONGRATS. ON THE HORN. IT MAYBE 30 YRS. OLD BUT IT LOOKED LIKE NEW TO ME. I WISH I HAD KEPT MINE NOW. I'VE NEVER GOT THAT SOUND AGAIN. |

JW,
Yes, I think it must have been the one you saw. I thought mine had already been shipped when you stopped in at Emmons but since I only got it today, I think you're right.
I don't think that I'll have to worry about "green" wood as the cabinet is 30 years old.

Wow Erv, I would love to see it. Are you going to bring it to the Gospel show in Indianapolis?

Jerry,
I hadn't thought about it but that's not a bad idea. I have a new natural colored one coming also. I should have that one by then too.
I just picked up a REAL old timer the other day. I'll bet it could be a twin to yours. It's a 1967 black mica D-10 with the decal. Doesn't this just about match yours?

Bill,
I sure didn't need any more guitars but I thought it was kind of a once-in-a-lifetime deal. Once those old cabinets are gone, there won't be any more reissued p/p's as far as I know. The serial number of my new p/p is #6726R. I guess the "R" is for reissued.
