Topic: 6th string not lowering correctly anymore |

I just changed my strings on my LDG, and now my 6th string, which is supposed to lower a whole step with the RKL, does not make it down, can only go about a half step. I tried to re-set the tuner to flat, so that the pitch does not change when engaged, then adjust it back to where it should be (Steve Lamb showed me this trick), but I still cannot get it to go all the way down. Any thoughts?
Maybe the string did not seat in the changer all the way...? that would be a good place to start I suppose, I'll try that, but just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what might have happened. This same lever also raises 1 & 2, and these work just fine.

No, it was wound previously as well...

It still raises 1 & 2 fine...

| If that string has a raise helper spring installed I would disconnect it and see if that cures the issue. |

Always back off the the raises and the lowers for strings that are giving you grief.
Make sure the string in question is at the proper natural pitch , RE; the 6th string. G#.
The tune the B pedal raise, is it ok ?
Tune the 6th string lower, is it ok ?
start there
Don't be afraid to try another new string.
Clear all the easy stuff off the table first.

Yeah Frank, Tony has it right. Release any tension on the six string and tune up open and then start with the lower. The wound string has longer pull and return. I like the wound also but it can get touchy. As someone else said change the string first. How you liking that original Sho-Bud pickup you got from me? J.R.
