Raising B-- I use 8 and 9 together (6,8, and 9) more than I would use 9 and 10 together.

Both is best so you have a choice, but if I had to choose I would agree with Ronald.

I prefer to raise the B, I have the raise on LKL. I sometimes use 8 & 9 together with 9 raised to D.

I lower my 8th string. I like the close grip D and D Major 7 and 6 chords you get by lowering the 8th string and combining it with the B pedal and sometimes the A pedals.
