Topic: Parts for Emmons |

| Anyone know where to buy Emmons parts? I have the older style pulls where the rods go through a collar held with a set screw and the collars lock onto the bell crank with a snap ring. I'm not sure what the correct name for these collars is and I can't seem to find them anywhere. The web sites I have found selling Emmons parts all have the newer parts with the bent rods. So far I haven't been able to find anything that will work from one of the hardware sites either. |

Howdy,
Get in touch with Billy Knowles from Steel Guitar East. Great guy to work with, he did a fantastic job on a LLG II I got from another forum member last year. Lynn Stafford from Steel Guitar West is another great choice. Between the two, I'm sure you'll find what you need!

I'd call them "swivels."

What size swivels do you need?
What is the diameter of the round part that holds the1/8th inch rod, and what is the length of the shaft that goes through the hole in the body of the bell crank? If you have the bellcranks, what is the thickness of the bellcranks?
I have nearly five gallons of old push pull bellcranks and should have your swivels.

Ok The bell cranks are the 4 hole type with 1/4" holes. The swivels go through these holes and are held on with snap rings. The pull rods are 1/8". They pass through the swivels and are locked in place with a set screw. I'm not sure which Legrand that makes this guitar. I will attempt to attach pics for clarification.

You were right, B Boggs.
Sorry, I have a few of those bellcranks but no extra parts for four hole bellcranks. The last version of the push pull bellcrank swivels will work, but it would not be worth the time to drill and tap holes.

If it's 4 hole bell-cranks you need? Try Jerry Roller, Steel Guitar EAST, Steel Guitar West, or Mike Cass. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. All members here. Just Google for contact info. Any of these folks can likely get you any LeGrande parts you need.
As you may or may not know. The newer style 14 hole cranks will work fine on your guitar. But you will of course need a newer style pull rod and E-clip.(Rod fastener) Which any of the above mentioned can most likely supply.
