Does anyone know of an Android tuner app where you can program your own offsets? I've tried Cleartune, Pitchlab Pro, Pro Guitar Tuner and even Petersen's app. I haven't been able to find one that allows programming your own. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I use Pitchlab Lite (free app).
I have my offsets memorized so don't use this feature, but it does look like it has the ability to input your custom temperament in cents and save it.
If you go into the Settings (on mine, it's the icon with three dots in a vertical line) you should find an option listed for 'Custom Temperament.' |

I have Pitchlab Pro. It looks like I found where I can enter my own. Thanks a lot. I need a good backup formy Strobo-Flipthat has been giving me a few problems lately. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I have a stroboflip now, and tune all open strings 59 cents flat and the pedals 38 cents sharp. Sounds great to me. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Pitchlab Pro doesn't allow me to define an offset to it. That makes useless. Since the Android would only be a backup to my Stroboflip, I guess I'll just carry a chart with me. I also use it to tune my regular guitar.
Oh well. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

gStrings permits adding an instrument and setting offsets for every chromatic. Never tried doing that, though, I just read the meter. |

You can set offsets in Pitchlab Pro.
Tap on the Options icon (the little gear cog thing at the bottom of the home screen).
Under the temperament section, tap on "equal temperament." This opens up the "temperament editor" so you can select one of the many presets on the list... OR tap the "New" button at the bottom to set up your own. This is you.
You'll then see what to do from there.
At the top where it says "Temperament Name", tap into that area and type in a new name for your chart (i.e., Richard's PSG).
You can then enter a cents offset for every note of the chromatic scale by tapping on the cents they have filled in there (0.0).
After entering offsets, hit the save button at the bottom.
Hope that works for you. |

Sorry. Forgot to say it was the A note that is greyed out and not editable. I guess I could just memorize the offset for the A.
I fired off a support ticket to Peterson about the fact that they talk about sweeteners for the istrobosoft on their website. There are many pedal steel tunings, but they aren't making them available.
Lost a whole bunch of respect for Peterson. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

The A note is greyed out because it is the 'calibration' note from the settings screen. If you change the calibration note to something else, that note will be greyed out instead. |
