I have a peavey Ltd old style that keeps blowing fuses . Took to a amp tech said it wasn't worth fixing maybe so . The cab is clean has the old black widow speaker great amp . Looking to find a replacement chassis for it . It's a shot in the dark but you never know .

Don't know who your tech is, and don't care, but he is not in touch with the steel guitar world. A Peavey LTD is one great amp for steel guitar. Unless the chassis has been physically destroyed (badly bent), the electronics are absolutely repairable. A good tech would realize this.

I'd send it to Mike Brown at Peavey for repair. They will call you with an estimate of the repair cost. You'll get top quality repair with no baloney, and it will work like new.

+1. My LTD 400 had some crazy resistor cluster f job done on it and my tech fixed it up no problem. It was a mess. He fixes tube or SS and knows how important these old amps are to us steel players. I love my LTD, have neo in it and couldn't be happier. I have a Session with neo also for when I need to leave one at church or something. They are about as close to a twin or standel or something as you can get for the money. I would say find a new tech.

Let's get some terminology straight, since it sounds like there may some confusion or ambiguity.
The chassis is the metal tray that holds the electronics and the term often includes all the electronics. To remove it, pull the 4 bolts on the top of the amp, unplug the speaker cable, and slide the chassis out of the cabinet out.
Send all that to Peavey. Don't bother shipping the cab and speaker.
If it's blowing fuses, there's likely only one expensive component at fault, and THAT'S unlikely.
