I've been reading how many of you have been using the GK MB500 amp for steel so I took the plunge and ordered one. I had an old Nashville 1000 that the amp had died several times and hated to see the cabinet sit around collecting dust so I thought this might be the fix.

It came in the mail yesterday so I took it to the gig along with my Quilter just in case.

I had a TC electronics Reverb and an old Ibanez Delay as I knew it had no onboard effects. After getting it all hooked up, I was blown away by how great it sounded. Lots of punch, low end, good highs and really nice smooth midrange.

The old Quilter may be the one collecting dust now.
