Good condition Blanton. Chromed metal body with black Maple top. Plays and sound good. Very unique tuning system whereby you turn the knurled screw on the bellcrank underneath to tune the changes. Lever on neck is coil tap selector. Pictures show the scratches and pits well in wood. Chrome did not photograph well, looks real good in person. Comes with case, D2F cover a few spare bellcranks.

Asking $1000 plus shipping from 78737

I hope I get to play this guitar, while I am at the TSGA show. I would like to know in my heart what it feels like & sounds like,

Unless the guitar is sold to someone attending the show, I probably will not be bringing it unless a lot more interest is shown.

Slim, I can understand the hassle of dragging something around, but bringing the guitar that you are only asking $1000.00 for, might well be sold to someone that has the cash or ATM card & gets rolled up in a "I want it" scenario.

Good Luck...

I will have my first booth at the Dallas TSGA Show this year and in addition to the western wear and boots I sell online, I will also be bringing this guitar and many others. See my separate post for list:

I can't believe that this guitar is still for sale.
This guitar is probably older than many of the new players,
but will probably out last them. With one exception these are "bullet proof". They sound great, easy to
maintain. Yes they are a few pounds heavier but at 75yrs.
I would still have one.
Perfect for the beginner, great for the pro.
Someone needs to jump on this.

I haven't heard from or about Jerry Blanton in years. Is he still with us? I visited his shop back in the late '70. Nice guy. His guitars seemed quite solid and I knew a couple of guys who played them.

I talked to him on the phone a couple of years back when I first acquired the guitar. Super nice guy.

Somebody is gonna be a happy camper. Those bell cranks were calling me, but I'm too old to get another guitar. It seemed to me, those bell cranks allowed the guitar to be tuned in micro increments. What a way to go...
