Are the tuning pans on Fender Stringmasters and Professionals interchangeable? The new Kluson replacements say they are for Stringmasters.

The Stringmaster tuning pans are a lot different than the Dual Professional pans , perhaps you could make them work , but they would not be a drop in replacement. Stringmasters also had separate nuts , while the Dual Professionals nuts were an integral part of the tuning pan, as I recall.

These new pans won't fit the early Stringmasters either.

Yes, they are only direct replacements for the 22.5" and 24.5" stringmasters (and "Stringmaster style" single necks) and the 400 and 1000 model pedal steels.
