OK. Work has been a little slow today, so with the inspiration of Ricky Davis' chord finder on his web page (limited to lap steel and simple chords) I decided to write a computer program which can identify the location of any chord on my E9th pedal steel. And I thought I would share my findings with everyone on the forum. So basically I have a 3 pedal 4 knee set-up and I had the computer go through every possible combination that is physically possible to play. It looks at every single interval between the notes generated by all of the pedal-knee permutations and determines if it is a major, minor, dominate 7th, major 7th, major 6th, major 9th, augmented, diminished, or minor 7 flat 5. You name it I can find it. Well I have organized all of these results, given my copedents into a nice table .
UPDATED: Thanks to Dave Grafe, the PDF has been downloaded onto a reliable server.
go to http://www.pdxaudio.com/e9chords.pdf
The table uses a standard numbering system so you can apply it to any fret and find the chords. Root1 means the root of the chord is the 1st tone of which ever fret you are on. So if you are on the 3rd fret, then the Root1 means the root of the major, minor chord... etc. is a G. if you are still on the 3rd fret and you see Root4 then the root of the chord is C. Rootb3 is b flat etc... The numbers show the intervals that make up the chord.
Anyways I hope you enjoy this. I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, or cool chords I can add. Also, if anyone is interested they can post their copedents, and I can quickly run it through the program and set them up with this awesome reference sheet with no problem.

This is from the yahoo briefcase help section>
quote: Can I access someone else's Briefcase?
Yes, you can access someone's Briefcase if the person has created a folder or album and has granted access to you specifically. This means the account owner has entered your Yahoo! ID in their list of friends to share with.
*For Premium accounts only - If a Yahoo! Briefcase Premium account owner has created a folder or album and made the contents public or specifically granted you access, then you can view that person's Briefcase.
Simply go to the person's Briefcase. If, for example, his Yahoo! ID is "Yahoo_JoeUser," you would go to: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/Yahoo_JoeUser
You can then download and view the files in that person's folder.
You can also easily access someone's Briefcase from their public profile. If that person has chosen to list their Briefcase on their profile, click on the link to access their public files.
*Please note: If you are a member of the free Yahoo! Briefcase service, public access to your uploaded files will no longer be available. However, you will still be able to share your files with people with Yahoo! IDs and via email.

My Yahoo Briefcase is still acting up. I gave their support line a call and they gave me the "it's not you it's me" speech. So hopefully, they will get it up and running. I have emailed to all that have requested. I would appreciate some feedback to improve things and make it more expansive.
So. it will have to continue. Email me or make a post if your interested.
