Jack, thanks for coming out to the gig and hanging with us. Loved hearing about Ronnie Milsap just before he made it but you really you blew my mind when you said you were at the Peavey Room at the same time I was in 1974 in the bottom of what was the "King Of The Road Hotel, I was in town for what was called DJ week, (thing of the past) and I had a slot to play there in the room, in fact I have a recording of the show back then, Paul Robinson the rep for Peavey South-East was our manager/investor and he secured the slot for us at the show. . I remember meeting Curly Chalker, Lloyd Green, Buddy Emmons, Jimmy Crawford, Dewitt Scott and many more players. Quite a few people told me to go up to the bar at the top on the top floor called the Roof, they said there was a fellow there that was going to "Make It," his name was Ronnie Milsap and he sounded awesome! Who would have thought many years later he would ask me to join his band!!! I remember going down on Broadway and going to Sho-Bud and Little Roy Wiggins store and almost traded my MSA double neck for a Emmons but the drummer of our band wouldn't open the trunk to his car which is where my Steel was, LOL! Oh the life and the times!! I also remember going to Nugget Studios which was north of Nashville and recording a couple of instrumentals I had written, FYI the drummer on these cuts is the drummer for Alan Jackson, Bruce Rutherford. _________________ John
