Hi Y'all,

I recently purchased two Scorpion Speakers and when they arrived they had been rather poorly treated by the Post office.

Speaker #1 - as you can see, one of them has a corner broken off - this speaker tests well, and sounds good. My question: Is it worth trying to reattach the broken corner, or should I just leave it alone?

Speaker #2 - the speaker in the lower half of the picture has a large tear in the cone. My question: is this worth trying to repair or is it a lost cause?

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Looks like they were very poorly packed.

The tear is an easy repair, using Shoe-Goo or RTV. The one with the broken frame may be toast, since the force required to break the frame likely bent the basket. However, if it works okay, it could be used as-is. Just drill an additional mounting hole, if needed

Hi Donny, the speaker with the broken corner sounds OK when I hook it up to an amp, drilling a new hole is a great idea, I'll probably keep an eye out for an new basket on the other, that tear goes all the way through the suspension.
