I just bought this amp. Need some info about the best settings for Steel. I know it's going to vary from Steel to Steel but maybe I cane get close.

I typically use Black Panel with bass and middle at about 5, treble at 3 or 4, presence at 0, plate reverb at about 9 o'clock. This is with a L-705 on a Carter or GFI.

I played a gig last night and our guitar player has the 80gx. I tried it and really liked it. It had more than enough bottom and high end. I was also surprised by how loud it would get with no distortion. I'm kinda thinking about getting one.

I'm starting to really like mine, It's just like new, still in the box. I would like to find a cheap channel switching pedal. Any Ideas.

The Roland/Boss FS-5L switching pedal is exactly what you need. It's less than $30 most places; you might find one used on eBay for less.

Roland has recently discontinued most of the Cube line. I think the only one they still produce is the Cube 10GX. Better hurry if you want the Cube 80GX while they are still available. However, they do come up for sale on the Forum occasionally. I've had one for over two years and like it.
