About 18 years ago, my wife and I spent a weekend in Nashville. We went to one of the clubs on Broadway and saw an act called 'The Great Austins'.....a man who sang and strummed a guitar and his wife who sang and played bass. They belted out Hank Williams music all evening. With them was a steel player. I have asked several people about 'The Austins' but have not met with any success. It was a great evening that we would have liked to repeat. Since then we have attended several Steel Guitar Conventions/Jamborees and have met several steel players but we are unable to associate any of them with the steel player of that night.
I would like to identify that steel player as well as acquire some information about 'The Great Austins'.
Thanks......Ben _________________ D10 Emmons LeGrande SKH (rebuilt by Billy Knowles), D10 Emmons Push/Pull (setup by Billy Knowles) , SD10 Rittenberry |

That was me, more like 20 years ago, back in my single days! The girl who was playing bass that night now owns that club. |

Thanks Pat. I assume that 'The Great Austins' no longer perform. _________________ D10 Emmons LeGrande SKH (rebuilt by Billy Knowles), D10 Emmons Push/Pull (setup by Billy Knowles) , SD10 Rittenberry |
