Just curious how many steel players are truck drivers? I'm thinking about going back to driving as I'm not making ends meet as a steel player. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox

Been there. Had enough OTR driving in the 70's. Can only imagine what it's like to be out on the highways these days. Don't miss it one bit. |

Yes sir ! My father got me behind the wheel. A CDL in the pocket is a guaranteed job. It's not a job just anybody can do. You work weird hours and you're away from home a lot. It has the potential to make a LOT OF MONEY when working for the right carrier _________________ D.S. Rigsby |

I drove for over 15 years....was grandfathered in to the CDL.....Got to see a lot of country......gave up CDL in 2005 right after Katrina took everything. I had two rigs....An '85 Freightliner and a '90 model Pete. Good money in it Johnny if you can get with a good carrier. But, as stated by someone else, you are definitely gone a great deal......picking time is limited. Think it over real good. _________________ HAL...Excel D-10 w/ 8 & 5.
