Hey you guys, Tony, Lane, anyone...how do you go back and edit a post when you've made a mistake in it and want a correction?MD

On you post, in the right upper corner is a symbol, that if you click on it, will give you the option of editing or deleting. Hope this helps..

Right. This spot reserved for the one with the picture in it coming up in a few minutes.

EDIT: to accomplish this edit, I clicked on the icon underlined in red, came back and added this text.
If had thought the entire post was a mistake and I wanted to nuke it, I'd have clicked on the icon underlined in blue, but the little bomb disappears after someone's replied.

Am I right in thinking if the content has been posted you are then unable to edit anymore? I made a post and didn't see the mistake until after it had been submitted. That is the ability to edit that I'm asking about.MD PS...I see that when I made this post the icons came up in the upper right corner as you described...I then made this edit. So after there is a reply you are no longer able to edit?

You can edit your post at any time, once signed in. Once someone has responded to your post, you can not delete your post. You can erase all test in your post and leave the post blank. To delete after someone else has posted under yours, you must request it be deleted by admin. That is my understanding and experience.

Once someone has responded, the BOMB icon goes away, the one I underlined in blue.
You can edit your comments to any post that hasn't been closed, even one from 2009 (or whenever the forum moved formats).

Thanks to all of you for your help. I never looked for that before and I see that when you're logged on the edit icon appears on your post. Thanks again.MD
