I see that someone else has already posted this, but a friend sent me this, and says it is still not too late if anyone knows of a young pedal steel player under 34 years of age looking for a good job playing music full time with a starting salary of 40K a year + benefits.
"We are looking for a one-of-a-kind Pedal Steel Guitar player to join the military's best country music band, U.S. Navy Band Country Current! Help us get the word out for this incredible opportunity! Applications due Feb. 10, 2017. See our webpage for more information."

I imagine that your military musicians have to do some basic training the same as ours, so that would explain the age limit. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I'm happy to say that one of my steel students, Henry Johns at ETSU got the job. He's a fine young man and a great musician.

Well, he did have a pretty good teacher! _________________ If you succeed in cheating someone, don't think that the person is a fool. It's just that the person trusted you far more than you deserved. |
