I have seen Carco play numerous times at the non pedal rooms at the Dallas and Phoenix steel shows and he always says: "They have it backwards, this is a steel guitar, those out there are pedal steel guitars ! " This isnt a non-pedal steel guitar, its a steel guitar...not exact quote but close. Carco Clave is an outstanding steel guitarist, guitarist and I know he plays other instruments, but those are the ones I have seen him play. I saw him perform again at the Phoenix show two weeks ago and as always, he amazes me with his touch and tone,,,on both steel and 6 string guitar as he backs up many of the other steel players...great sense of humor too...class act in every way !

I agree 100% with all of you. I watched Carco for several hours in the steel guitar room at the Phoenix show. During a break in the program,- Carco came to me,- acknowledged my service in the Marine Corps,- and after a brief conversation,- gave me one of his new CDs. He is a fine gentleman and a fabulous musician.. Thank you, Carco.
