I've been looking for a cut of this tune preferably with John Hughey on steel. I've flipped through a bunch of Conway and Ray Price sides and haven't found it. I know the steel turnaround is on the Rebel site but does anyone know what albumn the whole tune would be on? Thanks. |

Sorry, I can't find my Ray Price album with that cut on it, but;
There is a gorgeous instrumental version by Buddy Emmons on his "Expedition E9" album. I love that recording.

Edit for P.S. There's also a tab book available for Expo E9. I love that book too. ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) [This message was edited by John Steele on 15 January 2005 at 08:29 PM.] |

Well Jerry I think you've got a rare Conway albumn there. I can't find it for sale anywhere but did see it mentioned on one site. Really I just want to hear John Hughey's ride on that in reference to the whole tune. I don't remeber ever hearing it. |

Also, I had to add...
Don't miss the Johnny Bush version. I'm not sure who's on steel, but what would it matter ?

Thanks for the replys. Graham that sure is the record but...I'd have to buy a victrola to play it on. I'd sure like to find it on a CD. I really wanted to get the version with the lyrics AND John playing on it. I imagine that it's all instrumental on John's own albumn. Or is it?? |

An instrumental version of "I Just Destroyed The World" is on John Hughey's "Lost in the Feeling" CD (entire CD is excellent). |

It's on the instructional LP I have from many years ago put out by Emmons Guitar. It is the Big E playing and it is Course # BE-E9. Real good Ray Price style. I don't know if it is still available or not. This is a great course with a bunch of similar Ray Price style things on it including Walk Me To The Door and A Way to Survive. If this is your kind of stuff, then this is one course you should get if at all possible. The song is on Rob Parker's album where he has a different steeler playng on each song. Stu Basore plays on I just Destroyed the World and does a turnaround that will make you shivver. Way to go Stu, what a great turnaround. |
