Maybe.
I have an old hard case laying around that I am not using.

Hey look, it's an archtop lap steel! Very Happy
Pretty cool, but aren't those cases mostly made from some type of cardboard? Might cave in after a while....

No problems...just fill it with concrete before tensioning the strings.. Smile
