Would someone know where Buddy is getting the little licks at starting around 2:16. I just can't find that sound, Thanks

Henry -

Experiment with pulling and releasing 7th pedal at 7th fret

Recall in BE's 'Basic C6th' Course where he referred to 7th Pedal as a "5 up" pedal.....

5 frets up from Open D at 2nd fret gives you a D at 7th fret when you're engaging 7th pedal (on upper register strings).

A classic BE move that he used quite often

The other lick is the Pat Martino take-off

Hope this helps

Strings 2&3 with P6&7 off and on is what I'm hearing.
