Having just bought a BMI D10 (8+7), I'm in the process of getting it all clean and set up to my liking (and height). I'm 6'2" and not delicate, you could say. I think I'm looking for some rod extensions. Anyone have any idea where I might locate some? It's either that or I'll have to have 2" surgically removed from each of my shins.

The BMI has beautiful tone and sustain. I'd like to play with the pedals a bit lower than 2.5" from the floor, though :-)

Thanks

John

Try a liftkit (1" or 2") from Bobbe Seymour at http://www.steelguitar.net/. I'm 6' 4-1/2" and use a 2" liftkit on my BMI (which I really like, btw - I'll tell you, I gave serious thought to the D-10 that you ultimately bought). There's also a current thread running on this: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum15/HTML/008149.html.
