On real electrical connections in your house solder is not approved. Because of partially, dissimilar metal cathodic corrosion, and susceptability to heat melting the connection before the wire has reached a dangerous level of heat. "Electrical tape" is not allowed either.
On a guitar, it doesn't make a bit if difference. Space and dependability being the prime considerations, soldering and optimally shrink wrapping and folding into safe areas, are the best way to keep them dependable and out of the way of knees and knee levers.
Besides, it would take terribly small wire nuts, I'd think.
