I've been reading many a thread about these little amps heads.
The common pattern seems to be that they sound quite good for steel, but stop functioning decently after a few years.
BUT Maybe they are in fact reliable units??
I have used GK combos (for bass) a fair amount, and have no complaints.
I'm interested in the mb200 for steel, but am wary of the undeniable quantity of user's who have had problems.... |

Rock solid for me.
Just be aware that they are not currently manufactured.

We still have one and it is working OK. I used it for steel about a year and then my wife has been using it for at least 5 years (maybe more) with a 12" speaker for rhythm guitar.
Its one of the older models as it has combo Speakon/1/4" jack for speaker. Newer models only have Speakon speaker connection. |

Had mine for many years, still going strong.Excellent little amp.

I initially bought it for bass, but in recent years I've been using it for steel once a week. Never a problem. Seems to be a very solid, well-made amp.
