I'm restoring a Model 6160, 12-string, single-neck. There serial number is 9771. Paul Franklin Sr. is listed as the inspector. Does anyone have an idea of the manufacturing date? ...Tom

Tom,
I know you'll need to give more info. According to everyone I've ever heard, the serial numbers on the Sho~Bud's don't really tell anything, at least about the age.

Does it have a square front, wide/narrow pedals, straight or "teardrop" knee levers, what type changer, etc...

That type of info will do more to help find out the date.
