Our group (Glen Collins) is in Bandera at the 11th Street Bar. 8-12 It's a drive from Austin to there though. Hour and 1/2. I don't know who is in town with a gig on the 23rd. I'm sure someone will chime in. The Broken Spoke will have Gary P. Nunn according to the calendar. _________________ Just north of the Weird place, south of Georgetown |

I'll be in Fredericksburg with the most excellent L&M Kings, at Hondo's On Main. 75 miles from Austin, Larry... but worth it.
Then again, Glen Collins and the Alibis in Bandera would be worth the 100 miles or so as well. Good pickers.
Gary P. doesn't have steel that I know of.
At the Mercer Street Dance Hall in Dripping Springs, the Hot Texas Swing Band (another group I've played with!) will be there. Again, no steel.
At the Little Longhorn, the Carl Hutchens Band... again, no steel.
Probably your best bet for steel guitar would be at the White Horse, an alt-country place that has 3 band each night. Usually one band or more has steel there.
Welcome to Austin TX, where everyone thinks all the good steel gigs are. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Herb - Will you guys be playing inside or outside at Hondo's?
It could be a tad chilly outside on the bandstand.
