Trying to date a black mica D-10 bolt on push pull. Has decal, wide pedals, white case, old style small button klusons, silver fretboards with thin fret markers. Serial # is 2749C which according to Carter's chart makes it a - 1979 which does not sound right to me. Thanks in advance!

Dyke, does it have wooden necks or Aluminum? Wide pedals and decal make it sound much older. I betcha that "C" is not a "C". Might be a 0.

Metal necks, guitar is black mica. Could be a "0" but looks kinda like a "C" to me...

Dyke, that's a 1966 guitar. I used to have a bolt-on with white case from that era.

Thanks Herb! Do you know what's up with the Ser#?? Why does this part not fit in? Could it be that this is one where the Ser# is part of the Invoice# ? Thanks!!

That serial number is an invoice number. I've seen Emmons guitars with "C's" after the number, also "A's" after the number. I don't know what those designations mean.

"W" after the number stood for "wood neck," I've had a couple 1964 woodnecks, still have one #1164008W.

Dyke, I have a black Bolt-on P/P of a similar description. Mine has a serial # 2876 with no letters. Great sounding guitars....IP
