I have a pro-1 wine colored red with 3 & 4
Nice inlay and has an inspection sticker under it with serial number and it says inspected by S.J. I assume that is shot jackson... The serial number is 11271
and the guitar is totaly mint, case and all.
i have had it for many years, and just wondering the year it was made!
Thanks

Hard to tell without a bit more specifics.
Type of pedals, cabinet with the rounded top front edge or sharper right angle style, type
of knee levers, which pickup etc. Might be
from the around the mid 70's or so(?) |

Nick
It looks judt like yours, same color and all... Round levers, same pedals, key hed curves,.. And this gives me a good idea about the time it was made.. It looks as clean as yours nick.. This guitar was bought at sonny curtis guitar shop in columbus ohio, so it had to be in the 70s..
Thanks Guys!

Guys i bought a new Pro-ll custom in 1977 and mine has the square edges and the straight knee levers . I see this one has the curved knee levers ,if it was a newer model than mine wouldn't it have the straight levers ? Just a thought here . G.P. |

Your guitar has the old style
wide pedals too. Did you ask
for those when you ordered it?

Mike if yours is indeed just like Nick's; than It certainly is not 1971. I would say that it is a late 70's Pro~1

Rick Johnson . I special ordered my Sho-Bud with the big floor pedals . I know when mine was built because i'm the first owner . 1977 . Rick you also know when i got mine you were here . Either way guys i'm playing my ''BUD '' again and i must say the ''Bud '' can still get it done !!! My other guitar is for sale . All i need is a back brace to carry ''ole '' Bud and i will be ok . I think the old Sho-Buds are still a great guitar and i beleive there are a lot of players out there that are trying to get their hands on them . ( just my openion ) . Ok i guess i'm the target now . Gary, when you sell your "other" guitar, buy a new Mullen,or a Derby. |
