Can someone please share the original Bud Isaacs 8 string E9 (or was it E7?) tuning? Thanks! I searched for "Isaacs" but couldn't find it.

I think this is it. If not, it's close.

He might have had a knee lever raising the 2nd string to D, too. He had that on his D-10.
