Something new is needed

I'm bored with my RKL lever raising the 1st string a whole tone and lowering the 6th string a whole tone on the E9. I'd like to keep the 6th string lower but the 1st string raise has gotten monotonous. What are you doing with this "specialty" lever? The rest are just standard stuff I couldn't do without and at the moment I changed it to the 2nd string half tone raise instead. It might work out but I'm looking for something colorful that I won't overuse. Well maybe not too much!

why don't you raise BOTH..the first and the second..then you can use each by themselves and both together..

I wouldn't give up the first string whole tone..I should probably use it a tad less within the standard rule of things but there is too much going on up there with that whole tone raise to take it away..overuse is not the guitars fault..I too am a member of that club..

If you want to make a change take it down a 1/2 step like the initial setups had it.

PS, I rasie 7 on this lever and don't have the 6 lower..

The 6th string lower is something I wouldn't want to part with as it's a lot more universal than the 1st string raise. On this knee lever currently is the 2nd string half tone raise, the 1st string whole tone raise, the 6th string whole tone lower and it also lowers the 5th string a whole tone on the back neck. You put all of this together and you've got a stiff lever. That's an issue too. The 5th string whole tone lower on the C6 is staying and the 6th string whole tone lower is staying. I don't need to raise the 7th string a half step on the E9 as I can get that with the whole tone lower with the split on the B pedal on the E9 neck. I'm just wore out with the 1st and 2nd string raises right now. They sound great but not all that universal or maybe I haven't found anything new or different for them. I've thought about just raising the 4th string a whole tone but I don't know how that would go with the 6th string lower, probably s**k outloud. I can always back off the nylon tuners to remove anything on there now without having to go underneath the guitar and have been experimenting with removing stuff instead of adding or changing anything. Never know it might come out playing better, shorter travel and have enough of everything to get it all.

You could lower the 5th and 6th together and have the Franklin pedal on a knee lever.
