Fender Steel King noise

I have a fender still king that at times has noise issues. It doesn't do it all the time. There are times when I can unplug cable then replug it in and it quits.. Other times I can unplug the foot switch replug it in and it quits. Is there something I am doing wrong? Something I need to look for? Thanks in advance for all the help.
