I decided to get a stand for my 1936 May Bell guitar.
(full story on the May Bell is here:

I read a lot of good things said about the Deluxe 34 stands so I contacted Mark and I discovered that he has a new model reso stand that is a bit smaller. Since my May Bell is a 24" scale & smaller than a Dobro I decided to buy the new model reso stand with four legs.
What a great decision that was! Mark's stand is outstanding. It is sturdy, well designed, lightweight, comes with a soft case, and is reasonably priced. What more could you want?
And without the guitar:

Highly recommended. _________________ Tony

How do you keep it from sliding off the butt end of the stand? |

Well, so far it doesn't move. The cork seem to hold it in place. The other two bars grab it at the waist.
I'm going to put a rubber band on the output jack down to the rear support nut. Just need to find the right size band. _________________ Tony

That is a great stand. I have a dobro, and am kind of small framed and a stand would be a lot more comfortable than trying to hold it on my lap. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Tony,
I think that's a good idea, it would be a shame for that beautiful guitar to hit the floor. |

I fixed the photos by hosting them myself as bOb suggested. Photobucket will die a slow death. _________________ Tony
