I am about to try a med heating pad from http://www.smithdrug.com/DME/im080005.htm
inside a plastic bag to keep some heat inside my steel case. Has anyone done this before? Only an hour to the show but no heat in the back of the truck carrying the equipment. Bill in Pa |

Bill, with all respect...a heating pad in Phoenix? Maybe the Wisconsin/North Dakota steelers could give a hint!

Having lived in Wisconsin in the early 80's, I can feel your pain. My solution was a Kline. It did not have as many temperature problems as it was keyless. I would set it up, have a beer, and by the time I was done all was at room temperature. And besides bass players never arrive ontime so warm-up was easy.
The other issue is your truck. If your wife or girlfriend is in the front seat, then move them to the bed and give the steel its rightful place. |

Bill, let me know too, how it works. When I played in St Louis at this years ISGC, I drove my little Toyota single cab truck all the way from eastern Ky. Not wanting to leave my LDG Sho Bud in the uncovered bed, especially when I made a stop, I removed the passenger seat and left it at home in order to haul my steel. Jeff Newman once told me a long time ago that he did this in Nashville during the time that he owned a VW. Anyway, wouldn't you know it, about halfway to St. Louis, I passed a beautiful lady hitchhiking. |

Bill.
What is the power supply? I can sure see using one while your equipment is waiting in a back room etc. I've got a Marrs refit coming and a real nice Texascase ATA case. It'd be nice to be able to plug in to a car, batteries, or whatever it uses.
