After 43 years of buying, selling, trading, steeling, everything under the sun I have settled on "my" gear. BUT I am always open to listen to and try other gear. It either tells me I am on the right track for me, or opens my eyes and ears to positively affect my existing sound.
When we shut down and stop listening we are doing ourselves a disservice, it might be as small as a compressor, a smoother verb, a richer (or cleaner) speaker. Buddy never stopped listening and experimenting, why should we.
