Thought I'd post some pics of my most recent six string Frypan guitar, which I just finished a couple of days ago, made from aluminum. It is 24" scale, Padauk wood fingerboard with brass fret lines, Padauk wood flatwork on single coil 12.6K pickup which I made myself, finish is brushed aluminum and anodized, weight is 13.4 pounds, tuning is C6: C E G A C E. The bridge is what I call 'Half Dome', which I theorize increases sustain and improves tone. Sustain on this guitar is quite impressive.

I tried a full dome bridge once (milled down 1" aluminum bar), was extremely difficult to get intonation right, well, intonation was terrible. Saw a pedal steel employing the half dome idea on the changer fingers (cannot remember the brand,) gave me the idea to try the 1/2 dome. The 1/2 dome cut off keeps the intonation as good as any bridge, but, with the back half domed, gives a ton more contact with bridge, and to body. These aluminum frypans with the larger mass they have, have great sustain anyway, but this one seems to have even more, at least, it has more sustain then my own 8 string frypan.
