What is a good price for an original 8 string Fender tuning pan
w/ tuners?

Someone parted out a Stringmaster on ebay earlier this month and got from $81-$113 for the pans (with tuners). I've seen them go for twice that when there were two guys who really needed them bidding against each other. I paid $100 to a forum member for a Fender lollipop tuner pan earlier this year and felt like that was a very fair price. There is a thread about someone making new pans and a prototype was shown but I don't think they're available yet. |

I don't think that prototype was for the lollypop tuners, either. |

No, I was just throwing that out as a comparable. Jeff linked the vendor I was thinking of, although it's been a while and still no pans.
Edit: Meanwhile, Gary Rue has had some machined for his single neck stringmaster-style guitars. You might see if he'd sell one. |
