Someone parted out a Stringmaster on ebay earlier this month and got from $81-$113 for the pans (with tuners). I've seen them go for twice that when there were two guys who really needed them bidding against each other. I paid $100 to a forum member for a Fender lollipop tuner pan earlier this year and felt like that was a very fair price. There is a thread about someone making new pans and a prototype was shown but I don't think they're available yet.

Bill,
I don't think that prototype was for the lollypop tuners, either.

Roger, I'm assuming you want them for a Fender 400/1000?

It might be worth mentioning that Kluson now sell replacement tuner sets for $57 and will shortly be selling replacement pans as well (the pans will be stamped Kluson, not Fender, of course). These are sold as Stringmaster parts but are exactly the same as for the 8 string pedal steels.

No, I was just throwing that out as a comparable. Jeff linked the vendor I was thinking of, although it's been a while and still no pans.

Edit: Meanwhile, Gary Rue has had some machined for his single neck stringmaster-style guitars. You might see if he'd sell one.
